This painting explores how humans have viewed the ability to fly across time and culture. In the past flight was seen as an unobtainable power given to gods, angels, and mythical creatures. When ancient humans attempted flight, such as Icarus, death and sarrow was usually the result. Now the humans have the abilty to fly, what does that say about how we view oursleves? What does that say about our future?
